Compressible intralogistics container solves logistical challenges
With the compressible intralogistics container ‘contecline compact’, bekuplast offers a new solution to space problems and increased efficiency.
With a volume reduction of 70%, the compressible container ‘contecline compact’ offers decisive advantages in logistics and handling. ‘Our many years of experience in intralogistics and in the project business have shown us that challenges such as freight and toll costs, limited storage capacities, as well as project delays and the resulting downtimes are recurring issues. This has inspired us to develop the ‘contecline compact’ in order to be even more efficient and effective for our customers,’ explains CRM manager Jan Sünneker.
The special feature is the unique volume reduction for transport and storage. The intralogistics containers are transported, delivered and stored in a folded, space-saving manner before they are fed into the small parts warehouse. The compressed containers are then fully and automatically expanded just once for use in the small parts warehouse. The compressed container becomes a rigid container. The manufacturer bekuplast provides a mobile expansion unit that is compatible with various systems and can fully and automatically expand around 600 containers per hour.
More space, lower costs and more efficient processes
The space saved by the compact intralogistics container is immense: 140 compressed containers can be transported on a pallet instead of 40 rigid containers, saving around 2/3 of storage space. This reduces transport costs, and the savings potential is considerable, especially over long distances. At the same time, more containers can be stored in a space-saving manner at the customer's site and fed into the system more quickly when a new small parts warehouse is put into operation. This improves planning reliability for the customer and also reduces pallet handling when feeding the containers into the system. 2/3 fewer pallets have to be unloaded, stored, transported, unpacked and disposed of.
In terms of stability, load capacity, running properties and process reliability, the ‘contecline compact’ containers are absolutely on a par with the proven rigid ‘contecline’ design. For all logistics providers and companies that are confronted with rising freight costs and limited storage capacities, the compressible intralogistics container ‘contecline compact’ is an interesting alternative to a rigid container.
