bekuplast strengthens training with school cooperation
The "Haupt- und Realschule Neuenhaus" and bekuplast agree on cooperation.
In the course of the IHK project "Cooperation between Schools and Industry", bekuplast has agreed to cooperate with the Wilhelm-Staehle School in Neuenhaus on practical career orientation. The aim is for pupils and teachers to get to know the world of work and business better. To this end, joint activities such as internships and the processing of case studies supervised by company representatives in the schools are planned.
"We give pupils the opportunity to gain impressions and experience of the working world," says Inga Pastunink, head of training at bekuplast GmbH. Through the cooperation, pupils are introduced to the dual vocational training at bekuplast and future skilled workers from the region can be trained. bekuplast GmbH was already certified by the Chamber of Industry and Commerce as a "top training company" in 2015 and thus sends a strong signal for training quality.
For headmistress Ulrike Arends, the cooperation is a valuable addition to the school's internal mission statement. "We want to encourage pupils to develop by getting involved, recognising their strengths and making better use of them. The cooperation with a regional business enterprise makes an important contribution to this. The young people gain deep insights into the world of work in the company and in practical teaching units and can try things out for themselves."
"This realistic picture of workplace conditions and qualification requirements will also help them in their career choice," adds Silvia Masuch, IHK team leader for training guidance. If pupils get an early insight into working life and can make a confident career choice, this is beneficial for both the applicant and the company.
