From trainee to controller – a career path at bekuplast

Promoting young talent is a high priority at bekuplast. One example of this is Lars van Delden, whose path from trainee to controller shows how we actively support further training.

Lars discovered his passion for numbers and analysis while training as an industrial clerk. The next step was clear to him: a degree with a focus on controlling.

When faced with the question of whether to study full-time or part-time, Lars made a conscious decision to study part-time. ‘I wanted to continue gaining professional experience and have a steady income – part-time jobs were not an option for me.’ In addition, bekuplast offered him a position in controlling – he wanted to take advantage of this opportunity.

During his studies, Lars worked 36 hours a week at bekuplast and attended lectures at Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences, Lingen Campus, on Fridays and Saturdays. ‘The practical experience helped me enormously to better understand theoretical content,’ reports Lars.

bekuplast supported Lars throughout his studies – with flexible working hours, time off for lectures and colleagues who were always willing to answer technical questions.

Today, Lars contributes his expertise in controlling and actively helps to shape processes. ‘Studying while working is exhausting and not always fun – but looking back, it was one of the best decisions I ever made, and I can only recommend it,’ says Lars van Delden.

We support our talented employees over the long term – whether through study opportunities, internal training courses or individual development programmes. In this way, we create prospects and strengthen professional expertise within the company for sustainable success.

In March, Lars will begin his part-time Master's degree in Business Management and Controlling (M.Sc.), which involves one day of classes per week and two to three evening sessions. We wish him continued success!
