Award for an innovative container solution in intralogistics
bekuplast is among the winners of the 2026 German Packaging Award. The award was given for an intralogistics container designed for efficient and smart order picking, which was developed for ROSSMANN. The jury awarded the prize in the ‘Logistics and Material Flow’ category.

Bespoke order-picking container for automated logistics processes
The award-winning container solution was developed specifically for the ROSSMANN central warehouse in Landsberg. The aim of the project was to increase process reliability in automated conveyor systems, optimise order picking and sustainably improve the efficiency of intralogistics processes.
A picking bin with a sturdy double base was developed, ensuring reliable movement on the conveyor system and minimising disruptions to the flow of goods. Furthermore, the bin features numerous functions tailored to the requirements of modern logistics centres.
Key features include two transparent, one-handed access flaps that allow quick and ergonomic access to the goods. A VDS-compliant safety grille replaces the lid and helps ensure compliance with relevant fire safety requirements. The solution is complemented by gripper openings for automated handling systems, gridded handles, durable in-mould labels and raised dot patterns for secure and permanent marking.

Combining high stability, ergonomic handling and optimal suitability for automation, this container solution makes a significant contribution to efficient order-picking and conveyor processes. At the same time, it meets the requirements of modern logistics centres in terms of safety, cost-effectiveness and sustainable reusable systems.
