bekuplast sources green electricity directly from solar and wind power plants via ECO2GROW
Since the beginning of the year, bekuplast has been purchasing green electricity from solar and wind power plants via ECO2GROW.
The partnership with ECO2GROW is another decisive step in bekuplast's energy and sustainability strategy. With the conclusion of several Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), bekuplast directly purchases renewable energy from German wind and photovoltaic plants and saves more than 3,000 tonnes of CO2.
‘The development of Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) as a procurement option by ECO2GROW not only strengthens our commitment to sustainability and our responsibility towards the planet, but also emphasises our ability to meet new challenges with innovative solutions,’ says Jörg Deglmann, Managing Director of the bekuplast group of companies, describing the collaboration. ‘Together, we are driving forward the energy transition and setting new standards for the industry.’
Paul Appel, CEO of ECO2GROW, emphasised the importance of the cooperation: ‘We are proud to be able to expand the bekuplast Group's energy strategy to include the topic of direct green electricity procurement via PPAs. Our cooperation illustrates how the collaboration between leading medium-sized companies and younger market players opens up new ways of meeting today's market challenges.’
With this cooperation, bekuplast is taking a further step towards climate neutrality.
