1985

bekuplast was founded on 21 August 1985. The company produced plastic containers for transporting flower bulbs in Emlichheim, Lower Saxony.

1988

bekuplast successfully expands its field of activity in fruit and vegetable growing, the food industry, technical industry and trade. The company also starts developing its own products.

1993

bekuplast develops and produces the first folding fruit and vegetable containers for an international pool company.

1994

The company is growing continuously and moves from Emlichheim to Ringe, just a few miles away. 

2000

bekuplast builds a pallet plant and begins making plastic pallets.

2002

International sales are expanded and trading company Schiphorst B.V., based in Deventer, The Netherlands, is acquired. In the same year, bekuplast launches its silverline Euro Norm container series. 

2005

bekuplast is certified by VDA, the German automotive manufacturer's association, to make small parts containers for use in the industry.

2012
The new administration building is built at Ringe.
The new lightline Euro Norm series is introduced.
2013

bekuplast launches the new basicline Euro Norm series.

2014

The company headquarters in Ringe is expanded. A new production hall with modern, energy-efficient injection moulding machines and a high degree of automation is built, as well as a modern centre for further processing and finishing of the products.

2017

bekuplast expands its activities in Eastern Europe and acquires Polish plastics manufacturer ERG System

2018
Company founder Wilhelm Roelofs hands over the management of the company to his son Christian Roelofs, who runs the family business in the second generation together with his sister Stephanie Weggebakker.
bekuplast expands its product range with the varioPalette and the large container series basicline plus.
2019

Six new silos are built at the company headquarters, increasing the storage capacity for raw materials by around 130%. A new warehouse and an additional outdoor storage area are also put into operation for the storage of end products.

2020

The new contecline intralogistics container series celebrates its premiere.

At the headquarters in Ringe, the machine park and automation are expanded and a new warehouse is built. The subsidiary bekuplast S.A. in Łaziska Górne puts a new warehouse into operation.

2022

bekuplast offers its customers all products carbon-neutral on request.

2023

The first collapsible intralogistics container "contecline compact" is launched - efficient, sustainable, powerful.
